Well today ride is going to take some beating no so much about the ride it more about what we had for lunch. Thanks must go out to Des for organising such a great location plus meal for us all and leading the ride. A couple of things to note first we welcome Ed for his first ride with us today and all reports he enjoyed the day and the meal. It was good to see one of our woman folk (Marline) come along for the ride and see what we get up to on a Wednesday but the report might not be too good for us, when she get back to the other woman folk and tells the story of our meal for the day we had to keep reminder her this doesn’t normally happen. So the ride we had 20 riders and one pillion for today ride so with this amount of bikes we needed a middle marker to help to keep this going along with Jim as TEC. The ride was pretty straight forward up Dulong road, Phillip road across the top to Maleny where our TEC got left behind luckily for him he knew where we were going (just a reminder for everyone that even though we do wear the vest it’s still a bit of courtesy that we do keep a look out for all). We then went down Stanley river road to Cruise park for a stop, then Nureim road to Kilcoy for morning tea. Dave H learnt that you need to turn your indicators off as he travelled the whole Nureim road with it on so there is a $1 fine. After morning Tea it was off to Moore where Des did the unthinkable took a wrong turn taking most of the riders with hi, so a couple of went up the correct road a sat under the shade for the rest to come back so there was another fine for the day. It was then out to Linville and onto Camp Duckabang what a nice spot this is, it would even be better once things greens up out there, but this place has everything you would want for a camp week or Weekend away.  So the main thing for the day was the meal for $15.00 we all had roast beef diner with homemade Apple crumble hot custard and a drink, what more could you ask for, it was very nice with a few going back for seconds so this will take some beating in the future and I would say this will be back on the ride calendar for next year. Again we thank everyone for making today another successful day out on the bikes and until next time stay Upright and Safe. There will be a ride next Wednesday for those that are not on the 5 day ride.
